Pricing

Pay what you think is fair.

Orbit isn't free — but it's also not a subscription, not seat-licensed, and not priced by an exec looking for a round number. You pay once, in whatever amount reflects what Orbit is worth to you. That's the whole model.

How it works

  1. Open the Get Orbit page. A slider shows 11 tiers from $5 (a coffee) to $250 (a launch saved).
  2. Pick the tier that matches what Orbit will save you. Each tier names the equivalent work — "half a day", "an email template", "an experiment plan" — so the number is tied to outcomes, not guesswork.
  3. Or click Other amount and type the exact figure you have in mind. Any whole-dollar amount from $1 to $1000 passes straight through to Stripe.
  4. Finish Stripe checkout. Your portal is created on the same email, and the .mcpb download is one click away on /account/downloads — now and for every future version.

Why this model

Most lifecycle tooling is either (a) eye-wateringly expensive enterprise SaaS or (b) completely free prompt packs that ship thin. Neither matches the value a well-built lifecycle system actually delivers, and neither respects the range of users who might benefit from one.

Pay-what-you-think-is-fair splits the difference:

  • Operators at scaled companies who can expense $100 without thinking do. That keeps the project funded.
  • Independent consultants and small-team operatorswho'd save 10 hours in a single use can pay a few hundred — less than one billable hour — and walk away with something that earns that back immediately.
  • People just starting out, in between roles, or in markets where $50 is a lot can still download for $0 via the free path. Same product, same updates, same portal. No guilt, no nag, no throttling.

The goal is to give back to the lifecycle community — a field that taught me everything I know — in a way that lets those who can contribute fund the project, and those who can't still get the benefit.

Questions people actually ask

Is this a subscription?
No. One-time payment. You get Orbit and every future release forever at the price you picked.
Can I pay more later if I want to?
Yes. Return to the Get Orbit page, pick an amount, and the contribution is added to your account. Your download and portal keep working regardless.
What happens if I go the free route?
You create a free account and download the same .mcpb everyone else gets. No nag emails, no functionality gating, no expiry. If your situation changes and you want to contribute later, that's always available.
Can my company expense this?
Yes. Stripe issues a proper receipt. Use whatever amount your expense policy allows; the Custom amount input lets you match it exactly.
What currency?
USD. Stripe handles conversion from your card's currency at standard rates.
